21-year-old, 20-year-old charged with street racing pickup trucks in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Two Evansville men were arrested Tuesday after allegedly racing pickup trucks through a busy portion of town.

According to a public police report from the Evansville Police Department, around 6:03 p.m. on Jan. 6 an EPD officer watched as two pickup trucks were driving side-by-side southbound on St. Joseph Avenue approaching the West Maryland Street intersection.

The officer clocked the two trucks at 81 mph in a 30 mph zone. The police report says both drivers continued to speed and drive recklessly as they crossed the Lloyd Expressway intersection and entered Ray Becker Parkway…
