EPD: High-speed chase ends in crash in Vanderburgh County, one arrested

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Hezekiah Fils-Aime faces multiple charges following a high-speed chase in Vanderburgh County on January 10. Fils-Aime was cited with multiple offenses, which are Resisting Law Enforcement, Reckless Driving-High Speed, Motor Vehicle-Speed Contest, and Reckless Driving – Causing Property Damage, according to an affidavit from the Evansville Police Department.

On January 10, 2026, police records stated an officer saw an orange Dodge Charger at high speeds on US 41 near Columbia Street. The officer said he attempted to catch up with the vehicle as it made aggressive lane changes and believed the vehicle reached speeds of more than 100 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Police documents stated the orange Dodge Charger was next to a red Mustang which were both speeding and being unsafe. The vehicles reportedly accelerated and pulled away from the officer…
