HENDERSON, Ky. — The state took a key step Wednesday building the new Interstate 69 bridge over the Ohio River, approving an interlocal agreement to establish a tolling body that will set rates and policies for the $933 million project connecting Henderson, Kentucky and Evansville, Indiana.
The Kentucky Public Transportation Infrastructure Authority unanimously approved the agreement during a meeting, along with updates to the Bi-State Development Agreement reached between the two states in Aug. 2025.
The tolling body — consisting of representatives from Kentucky and Indiana — is expected to convene soon to develop all-electronic tolling rules, including rates, business operations and transponder requirements…
