EVANSVILLE — Officials are laying the groundwork to make the new four-lane Interstate 69 Ohio River Crossing, which will connect Evansville and Henderson, Kentucky, a toll bridge.
They actually are continuing to lay that groundwork, said Mindy Peterson, spokeswoman for I-69 Ohio River Crossing.
“Tolling has been a part of this conversation for many, many years now,” Peterson told the Courier & Press Wednesday. “We have anticipated since the start of this project that the I-69 bridge was going to be tolled.”…
