A Cynthiana, Indiana man is lodged behind bars in the White County Jail for the next few months following a plea deal Thursday in White County court. It was June of 2025 when Carmi Police arrested 33-year-old Mitchell Davis following a Sunday chase. At the time, a local had advised law enforcement of property damage involving a utility pole and suspected reckless driving on the east side of town. Davis allegedly fled after officers found the vehicle, but were able to take him into custody after they say he crashed the vehicle. At the time, Davis was charged with DUI, DUI with a BAC of .08 or more, Failure to Reduce Speed, Fleeing/Attempting to Elude Police, and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.
