Final beams set to arrive for I-69 Ohio River Crossing approach bridge in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Construction is reaching a major milestone on the I-69 Ohio River Crossing (ORX) in Evansville as the final beams for the third and last approach bridge are scheduled for delivery and installation over the next two weeks.

Crews will receive and set 32 large concrete beams between Monday, January 26th, and Friday, February 6th. Deliveries will occur Monday through Thursday during the weeks of January 26th and February 2nd.

The beams, which range from 134 to 163 feet in length, will be transported from Decatur, Indiana. Four beams are expected to arrive each day, with one beam delivered per truck…
