EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Republic Services has suspended all citywide trash and recycling collection through the weekend due to ongoing weather conditions, according to a recent update from Evansville Water and Sewer Utility.
Officials said regular collection will resume on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026. When service resumes, Republic Services crews will collect not only the carts, but also any extra bagged trash and recycling placed next to the carts.
The suspension is being implemented as a safety measure for both residents and collection crews. “Safety remains the top priority—for residents, their property, and collection crews,” the update stated. “This week’s weather has challenged our community, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through it together.”…
