HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — The JD Sheth Foundation is raising money to purchase a new truck for an officer injured in a shooting.
According to officials with the foundation, they are partnering with the FOP Lodge in Evansville to purchase a new truck for Officer Sam Taylor that will be adapted for him to safely use. Officials say this new truck would help him become more mobile, independent and better supported in his daily life.
Officer Sam Taylor was shot in September after responding to a stolen vehicle report. He suffered a spinal injury and had to be taken to Atlanta for rehabilitation. He has since returned to Evansville and received the Gold Merit Award and the Serious Injury Award…
