HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – The Evansville City Council is expected to vote Monday on an ordinance that would raise curbside trash and recycling fees.
The city council will debate an amendment of the contract between Republic Services and the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility Board. The amendment would allow for an increase in monthly trash bills by $2 for the next two years.
Officials cite the reason for the increase is that the cost of providing trash and recycling service has gone up and current rates no longer cover those costs…
