Police officer killed in Indianapolis: EPD reacts

HENDEROSN, Ky. (WEHT) — The Evansville Police Department released a statement on Monday following the death of an Indianapolis Police Officer.

“The Evansville Police Department extends our condolences to the Beech Grove Police Department following the loss of an officer who was shot and killed in the line of duty. Our thoughts are with their officers, the officer’s loved ones, and the entire Beech Grove community.”

Indiana State Police Sgt. John Perrine identified the suspect as 47-year-old Kenneth Terrell Johnson. Johnson was considered armed and dangerous before officers apprehended him.
