HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — An Indiana bill authored by an Evansville representative passed through the Indiana senate.
House Bill 1307, authored by State Representative Alex Burton (D-Evansville), passed the Indiana senate on Tuesday. Burton says the bill strengthens oversight of the Department of Child Services by requiring the DCS Ombudsman to actively investigate complaints, review cases where children may have been put at risk and make recommendations when problems are found.
