Cold Air Arrives, Then Warming Days Return

A cold night tonight with lows dropping into the 20s. Into Sunday and Monday, a significant push of much colder and drier air will move into the region. Sunday morning wind chills are expected to drop into the teens, and Monday morning will feel even colder with wind chills in the single digits, making for a big change from where we have been. Strong, gusty winds are likely on Sunday with gusts up 35 mph or so.

A warming trend begins on Tuesday, bringing a welcome change. We expect above-normal temperatures to persist through next Saturday. Light rain is possible from Wednesday night into Thursday, with the potential for more than a half-inch of rain.
