1970s relic found blocks away from Evansville demolition site

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A piece of local history resurfaced in an unexpected way this week after the demolition of a longtime North Side landmark.

Following the demolition of the former Hahn Office building on North Garvin Street, a neighboring business owner discovered a relic of the city’s professional past: a cancelled payroll check dating back nearly 52 years.
