CenterPoint promises to keep rates stable through 2027

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — CenterPoint Energy is promising to keep base rates stable for the rest of the year.

This comes as the utility company enters the final phase of its 2025 rate case adjustment. The current rate beginning this month will be just under seven dollars per 799 kilowatt hours.

The company claims in order to keep those rates stable it canceled nearly one billion dollars worth of projects. Officials say they will continue to work with customers on affordability through programs like the community energy improvement fund…
