EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — At Monday’s Evansville City Council meeting, the findings of an independent study were presented regarding the new city-based ambulance service. Some council members stated that the findings were not sent to them until a few hours before the meeting began.
This comes after an announcement in May of 2025 by the Evansville Fire Department of a switch to the city model, meaning they are discontinuing their long-time partnership with AMR.
