KSP Post 16 Announces Traffic Safety Checkpoints for Henderson, Daviess, Union, McLean, Ohio & Hancock Counties

HENDERSON, KY — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 16 is issuing a periodic reminder to motorists regarding proactive safety measures and upcoming traffic checkpoints across the district.

KSP utilizes traffic safety checkpoints as a high-visibility deterrent to promote safety and address violations of the Kentucky Revised Statutes. According to Post 16, these checkpoints focus on several key areas of public safety:

  • Operator Impairment: Identifying and removing impaired drivers from the roadway.
  • Vehicle Equipment & Compliance: Checking for deficiencies, including valid registration and insurance.
  • Driver Licensing: Ensuring all operators are properly licensed.

In addition to checkpoints, troopers will be saturating known problematic areas throughout the district using general patrol tactics to increase visibility and safety.
