EVANSVILLE — EVSC’s school board on Monday approved the hiring of John Skinner’s successor as principal of North High School — and she’s a familiar face.
Katy Rogers Elmer, now the school corporation’s deputy chief of staff, will succeed Skinner, who announced last month that he will retire in June after 17 years leading EVSC’s largest school. The school board unanimously approved Elmer’s selection by EVSC’s administrative team.
Elmer, a 1996 North graduate, is a former social studies teacher and assistant principal at North and the parent of three students in North’s attendance district — including one who attends the high school, said EVSC spokesman Jason Woebkenberg…
