Pulaski man enters guilty plea in shooting deaths of father, grandfather

A Pulaski County man accused of murdering his father and grandfather has entered a guilty plea to charges including murder, attempted murder, robbery and evidence tampering.

24-year-old Austin Prather entered the guilty plea this week, and was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole. Before reaching a plea agreement, the prosecution filed its intent to seek aggravated penalties, such as the death penalty.

Authorities say Prather shot his grandfather, Ardyth “Ray” Prather, and his grandmother, Joann Prather. Ray Prather was found deceased inside his home. Joann was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital. At another home nearby, authorities say Austin Prather shot and killed his father, Ardyth “Trae” Prather…
