EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — The University of Southern Indiana will host an event later this month focused on raising awareness of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, commonly known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
“Illuminate ALS” is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, March 29, in Carter Hall inside University Center West on the USI campus. The event is free and open to the public.
The program will include a screening of “Stitching Strength,” a short documentary that follows the experiences of people living with ALS, including 2013 USI graduate Frank Rynkiewich.
