🚨 Wanted man arrested after short pursuit in Vanderburgh County

On March 22, 2026, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputies tried to stop a white Chevrolet Silverado near U.S. 41 and Virginia Street for a traffic violation. The driver fled, leading deputies on a brief five‑minute pursuit that ended near Haven Drive and Morgan Avenue. The suspect, Larry Scott Porter II, 29, of Evansville, ran from the scene but was later found hiding at a home in the 100 block of Center Street with help from an Evansville Police K9 unit.

Deputies say they found about 5.5 grams of fentanyl in the vehicle. Porter was arrested on multiple charges, including resisting law enforcement, possession of a narcotic drug, driving while suspended, and a felony warrant from Warrick County. He was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail
