Toyota Announces $200 Million Investment at Toyota Indiana in Princeton

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (March 23, 2026) – Toyota announced a $200 million investment at Toyota Indiana in Princeton to increase capacity for the Toyota Grand Highlander, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to Southwest Indiana and one of the region’s most important manufacturing anchors.

The investment will increase Grand Highlander capacity at Toyota Indiana, where the model will join Sienna assembly in the East Plant while continuing alongside Lexus TX production in the West Plant. The announcement comes as Toyota Indiana marks 30 years since groundbreaking in Princeton and follows a 2025 in which the plant celebrated both its 8 millionth vehicle and Toyota’s 1 millionth hybrid vehicle assembled there.

“Today’s announcement reflects the company’s commitment to meeting customer demand and the belief in our team to get it done,” said Jason Puckett, president of Toyota Indiana. “For 30 years, Toyota Indiana has led the charge into the future by putting our customers first, delivering quality vehicles, and remaining committed to our values.
