A call to take part in ‘Earth Hour’ this Saturday night

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Saturday night, March 28, you can take part in one of the world’s largest grassroots environmental movements: Earth Hour.

What is asked of everyone during Earth Hour is that for one hour, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, you turn off all non-essential lights in your home. This is done as a symbolic gesture of solidarity for the planet.

Organized by the World Wildlife Fund, Earth Hour drives home awareness and action on climate change and nature loss, by encouraging people to spend 60 minutes doing something positive for nature…
