EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A man has died from injuries he sustained during a kitchen fire at a residence in the 1500 block of Monroe Avenue earlier this month.
The Evansville Fire Department reported that the victim passed away on March 30, 2026, nine days after the initial incident. Firefighters originally responded to the residential structure on March 21, where they found the fire had already been extinguished.
The adult male was outside the home when crews arrived. He received immediate treatment at the scene for minor burns before being transported to a local hospital. He was later transferred to a specialized burn center in Louisville for further medical care…
