WHS Brings Back Popular Scavenger Hunt
Back by popular demand, the Warrick Humane Society is bringing back its scavenger hunt! Lucky for me, I was able to participate in a couple of hunts in the past, and I assure you, this is one of the best days you will have all year! Get a group of friends together, come hang out at Myriad Brewery Company, and let us send you on a scavenger hunt for a great cause! Teams of participants will start the event at Myriad Brewing Company in Newburgh. Each team will be given a stuffed animal and a list of over 100 items that they must take pictures of their stuffed animal with on this photo scavenger hunt! The list of over 100 items consists of a wide variety of items, such as a house with a green roof, fish in an aquarium, a church bell, a rotary phone, etc. Each team’s “mascot” (stuffed animal) must appear in each photo to avoid participants using internet images. Participants have two hours (12:30 pm – 2:30 pm) to travel all over Warrick County (or other counties if they choose) to find the items on the list and take pictures. The hunt ends back at Myriad in Newburgh, where Mother Truckers Pizzeria will be available for food! The top three teams will receive some pretty awesome gift baskets. Additionally, every participant will have the opportunity to win tickets to the Koe Wetzel concert on August 7th at The Ford Center. Sign up in advance for $10 per person or on the day of the event for $15 per person.
WHS Looking For Local Businesses To Participate In Scavenger Hunt
As most people know, humane societies are primarily funded by donations from the community, volunteers, and overall good people looking to do good things. They would not be able to save the animals they do without the support of their community. This scavenger hunt is no exception. Heritage Federal Credit Union is sponsoring the event, Myriad Brewing Company is volunteering their business as the home base, and now we need other businesses to help us keep the fun going! Local businesses have the opportunity to participate in the hunt, make a monetary donation to WHS, or donate a gift card to the cause. From Warrick Humane Society:
“We are opening this event up to businesses as an opportunity to bring awareness to your storefront! For only $25, we supply you with a golden paw print with your business’s name on it that you will place somewhere inside your business, or even on the front door if you are closed on Sundays! Your $25 sponsorship is also fully tax-deductible! If you would prefer to donate a gift card to use inside your business, you can donate a $50 gift card in place of a monetary donation. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of businesses like yours!”…
