HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Fire crews responded to a vehicle fire near a gas pump on Highway 41 in Henderson on Monday.
The fire happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. at a gas station near John James Audubon State Park. Crews were able to douse the engine with water to get the flames under control.
The situation could have been worse had Jermaine Johnson, a cook at the gas station, had not stepped into action. He said his military background helped him learn to not panic.
