POSEY CO., Ind. (WFIE) – Posey County Sheriff’s Office officials are warning the public of an ongoing scam.
According to a release, officials have been made aware of a current scam in which the scammer, using a PCSO telephone number, says that the victim has failed to show up for court and an arrest warrant will be issued for the victim.
Officials say the scammer will tell that the victim can instead pay off the warrant with a credit/debit card or the victim can meet a PCSO deputy in an area parking lot to pay the fine…
