HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Officials say a homeless encampment was removed from an Owensboro park following a request from a private company rather than the city of Owensboro.
Tent city, an encampment in English Park, was filled with heavy machinery to clear out the area. Tents, tarps and other property were thrown into industrial containers during the clearing.
Many of those present say some warnings were given a few months ago, during the historic winter storm.
