Today we took a little trip to see our friends at Holiday World! You never have to pull our leg too hard to play hooky from work, but we heard the words “Smash Burger,” and we were all but running out the door.
Seth and the fabulous folks on the food & beverage team there at the park have been working hard to update the menu at Goblin Burger. One of my favorite places to grab food in between rides and shows. During Happy Halloween Weekends, I LOVE the Goblin Fingers (fried pickles), and I know LOTS of folks make a beeline for those cheese curds!

Garlic Cheese Curds (AKA Cheesy Pillow from Heaven)
I don’t know what they do to these things to make them so dang good. Maybe it’s the garlic? Maybe it’s the Wisconsin white cheddar, but I’ll be getting them the next time I visit FOR SURE. Some of our other radio friends were also there for the taste test, and we all went on and on about them. Crispy and crunchy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. They are lightly coated and perfect with the chipotle ranch or marinara dipping sauce.

Now we get to the meat of the menu. Pardon the pun. These burgers are all double-stacked with delicious and creative flavor combinations. It’s hard to pick which one I liked the most. When you go, if you are with a group of friends, I would highly recommend ordering different burgers and then splitting them to try them all.

Two grill-pressed patties with crispy edges, with or without cheese. Served on a Brioche Bun. This is exactly as it says. You want a good ole burger, no muss, no fuss? This is gonna HIT the SPOT.
Goblin Burgers Legendary Smash Burger
Two grill-pressed patties with crispy edges topped with Bacon, Applewood Smoked BBQ Sauce, and Provolone Cheese. Served on a Brioche Bun. That bacon and BBQ sauce are working together to give you that sweet and salty goodness you want in a burger like this.
Goblin Burgers Monster Smash Burger
Two grill-pressed patties with crispy edges topped with Garlic Cheese Curds, Crispy Onion Straws, and Chipotle Ranch. Served on a Brioche Bun. This was Chad’s favorite. I really loved it too! I can’t get enough of that Chipotle ranch sauce. The crispy-ness of the onion straws and cheese curds is great.
Goblin Burgers Trick-or-Heat Smash Burger
Two grill-pressed patties with crispy edges topped with Jalapeños, Sweet Peach Hot Pepper Sauce, and Pepper Jack Cheese. Served on a Brioche Bun.
