Honor Flight of Southern Indiana Brings Veterans to Nation’s Capital for Day of Reflection

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WEVV) — Veterans from southern Indiana were honored with a day of remembrance and recognition as part of the 20th Honor Flight, traveling to Washington, D.C. to visit some of the nation’s most significant military memorials.

The journey began early at Evansville Regional Airport, where veterans were greeted by volunteers, flight crews, and supporters. The send-off included a warm welcome before boarding their flight.
