Police: Evansville woman arrested after crashing into a fence in front of a business

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Police arrested an Evansville woman Wednesday night after she allegedly drove her car through a chain-link fence at a local car dealership while intoxicated.

21-year-old Lillian Smith faces several preliminary charges, including operating while intoxicated—endangerment, reckless driving causing property damage, and operating without financial responsibility.

Evansville Police responded to the single-vehicle crash at approximately 9:38 p.m. on the westbound Lloyd Expressway on-ramp from Green River Road. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle completely underneath a chain-link fence belonging to a used car lot.
