Public conference scheduled for Warrick County mine expansion

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — The future of a proposed coal mine expansion in Warrick County may depend on what the public has to say.

Next month, state officials will hear directly from residents about the liberty mine permit application. Indiana DNR says the meeting centers on a request to expand the Liberty Mine that’s operated by Alcoa Warrick Operations.
