Harnett County Veterans Services is inviting active duty, Veterans and their family members to a free two-day resource event scheduled for July 10 & July 11, 2026. Veterans Services is partnering with Congressman Brad Knott’s Office and the Department of Veterans Affairs to expand access to essential services and resources.
The Veterans Resource Event is a simultaneous, drop-in style event, allowing attendees to stop by at a time that best fits their schedule.
This two-day event aims to connect attendees with services, resources and support. Highlights of the event will include:
- On-site claims assistance with Veterans Service Officers and Veterans Affairs.
- Family-friendly activities on Saturday.
- Mental health screenings and services for Veterans and their caregivers, provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Dental screenings and oral health services for Veterans, provided by Baptist Men’s Association.
- Health, vision and mental health screenings available to all attendees, provided by Campbell University.
“The upcoming VA Resource Event is a one-stop hub built for veterans and military families to bring the hard-earned benefits, healthcare, and community support you and your family deserve, straight to you—all under one roof. Bring your family, connect with fellow veterans, and get the answers you deserve,” said Assistant Veterans Services Director Amy Noel in a press release. “Your service didn’t end when you took off the uniform, and neither did our commitment to you.”…
