With Labor Day approaching, North Carolina transportation and public‑safety officials are reminding drivers to plan ahead as agencies prepare for a statewide impaired‑driving enforcement period.
The N.C. Governor’s Highway Safety Program met with local and state officials in Fayetteville on Tuesday to outline details of the annual Labor Day Booze It & Lose It campaign, which will run through Sept. 13. The initiative includes increased outreach and enforcement aimed at reducing impaired‑driving crashes during one of the year’s busier travel periods.
