FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Imagine walking home at night, with the only lights around you coming from people’s porches.
That’s reality in seven Fayetteville neighborhoods, where the city said residential streets still don’t have streetlights. Now, city leaders are trying to figure out how to get those neighborhoods lit up, and who will pay for it.
The neighborhoods are on the west side of Fayetteville and have been annexed into the city within the past 25 years. They include Wendover Place, Raeford Road Estates, Buhmann, Hillcrest Homes, Pine Ridge Acres, Pine Crest Park, and Grime Road (Scottish Place)…
