Hundreds of Harnett County Schools (HCS) students began this new school year under a major change.
In March, families of students participating in HCS’ Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs were notified that the district would be closing DLI at 12 schools after “thoughtful review of enrollment trends, students’ needs, and school and district priorities.” Two elementary schools — Dunn Elementary School and Highland Elementary School — will maintain their programs.
