U.S. Army Awards $10.64M Drone Contract for New Fayetteville Company

The U.S. Army handed out a $10.64 million contract to Skyeton, Inc. for Raybird reconnaissance drones and related work. The Department of Defense posted the contract award on Friday, Sept. 20, according to Militarnyi.com.

Skyeton’s American branch was the sole bidder. The deadline? Dec. 15, 2026.

Skyeton, Inc. runs operations out of North Las Vegas, Nevada. Yet in late July 2026, the company announced it would build its first United States manufacturing facility in North Carolina near Fort Bragg. They’re investing over $3.1 million to transform an old Black & Decker plant—more than 2,600 square meters—close to Fayetteville Regional Airport…
