Canuto making name for himself at Louisburg

LOUISBURG — Former St. Pauls boys soccer standout Omar Canuto has tormented opposing defenses as a freshman at Louisburg College so far. Through five college games, he has seven goals, two assists and 16 points, picking up where he left off as a senior with the Bulldogs when he had 46 goals, 10 assists and 102 points.

The Hurricanes (5-0, 4-0 NJCAA Region 10) owe a lot of their success to Canuto. With 34 goals as a team, he’s been the goal scorer on roughly 20% of the team’s scoring plays this season.
