The E.E. Smith High School marching band has a chance to take its music far beyond Fayetteville this fall, but getting there will require some help from the community.
The Magnificent Marching Machine has been selected to perform in the 2026 Chicago Thanksgiving Parade. Now, band members are working to raise $100,000 to cover the cost of the trip, including travel, food, lodging and student activities.
