The Fort Bragg community is mourning the loss of a Special Forces soldier who died in a training accident late last month and recently learned he was expecting his first son.
Sgt. 1st Class Andrew Frakes, 34, of Savannah, Georgia, died Sept. 22 from injuries sustained during a military airborne training event in Nevada, the U.S. Army Special Operations Command announced Sept. 27.
The incident is currently under investigation, and no further details are available, the news release states…
