St. Pauls police chief commends students who reported 18-year-old who had gun on school campus

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — St. Pauls Police Chief Michael Owens says he does not believe an 18-year-old suspended for allegedly having a gun on school property was harboring malicious intent.

Elijah McLaughlin, a senior at St. Pauls High School in Robeson County, faces adult criminal charges and a 365-day suspension after authorities recovered a handgun on campus Monday.
