Mulligan’s Creamery, owned by married couple Greg and Dawn, is serving up small-batch, premium ice cream in Southern Pines. The golf-themed ice cream shop, located at 439 Capital Drive, Carthage, N.C., has been open for about seven weeks now and has already become a local favorite.
“The community has been super embracing, and that was a big thing. Besides just our passion for golf and ice cream, we wanted to make sure we were a pillar in the community and could give back and give a place for families to come. So we’ve already held a couple of spirit nights. We’re planning a few more over the next few months, and we just love it. We love when we see the families in and enjoying ice cream. And if they happen to be a golfer, that’s an extra bonus,” shared Dawn.
Greg and Dawn hired over 30 employees for the shop, many of whom are high schoolers just getting started in their first job. They’re happy to create jobs in the community and to help young people build skills they’ll carry with them for life…
