Each week, local high schools nominate students for their outstanding academic and school achievements and community service. Readers will be able to cast their votes for The Fayetteville Observer Student of the Week between 5 a.m. Monday and noon Thursday every week during the traditional school year. We’ll announce each week’s winner at 5 a.m. Friday.

John Arrington Richardson, junior, Massey Hill Classical High School
John Arrington Richardson attends Massey Hill High School as a junior. He is a dedicated and loyal student. He volunteers in the community often by feeding the homeless and supporting various charity functions. He is a member of the SGA and demonstrates true leadership among his peers. He attends Lewis Chapel Baptist Church and sings in the choir. He is extremely respectful toward other staff members. He is taking AP honor classes and his focus is to attend one of the Ivy League colleges. He is a pleasure to be around, he makes everyone’s day with his cheerful attitude.
