A female in her mid-30s passed away, and her dog was injured after crashing head-on into a tree on Highway 690 near Morrison Bridge Road outside of Vass on Monday night. First responders were dispatched to the incident shortly after 6 p.m. Upon arrival, the driver was declared dead at the scene, and a dog in the back seat appeared to be badly injured.
