Caribbean-inspired chain restaurant Bahama Breeze Island Grille opens today at 4 p.m. in Fayetteville.
Located at 570 Cross Creek Mall, the restaurant with seating for 340 is the chain’s second in North Carolina, following the Raleigh location.
General manager Raymond Mohammed, who manages the staff of about 150, said he expects hundreds of customers at the Monday opening.
“All we’re trying to do is let people check their worries at the door and come and enjoy it,” he said of the restaurant, which has a palm tree at the center of the dining room.
Eager to check it out? Here’s what to know before you go.
What are the most popular dishes?
Mohammed said the jerk chicken with pineapple chutney, hand-rolled beef empanadas, jerk chicken pasta and tostones, or fried plantains, are among the restaurant’s most popular mains and sides.
Does the restaurant serve alcohol?
Bahama Breeze serves wine, beer and a bevy of boozy tropical-inspired cocktails. Among the spiked drinks from the fully stocked bar is the Bahamarita, a frozen margarita made with kiwi, melon, strawberry and mango flavors and served with a spiked cactus juice shot on the side.
