CrimeStoppers tip leads to seizure of stolen guns, drugs in Fayetteville

Two people were arrested last week after an anonymous CrimeStoppers tip led to the seizure of drugs and stolen firearms from a Fayetteville home.

Elias Young Rosa, 23, and Holly Michelle Armistead, 34, were arrested Feb. 1 on charges of trafficking more than 28 grams of opioids by manufacture/transport/possession, conspiring to traffic more than 28 grams of opioids, maintaining a dwelling, possession with intent to sell/deliver/manufacture cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver/manufacture methamphetamines, possession with intent to sell/deliver/manufacture schedule-IV controlled substances, possession of a firearm by a felon and three counts of possession of a stolen firearm, according to a Fayetteville Police Department news release.

Rosa is additionally charged with felony probation violation, the release said. He has been a probation absconder since 2022, according to law enforcement.

Police said that a tip in October led to an investigation into activities at Rosa and Armistead’s home in the 900 block of Sandalwood Drive. On Feb. 1, the police department’s Vice Suppression Unit, assisted by U.S. Marshals and the Hope Mills Police Department, served a warrant on the Fayetteville residence.
