ROBESON COUNTY, S.C. ( WBTW) — A Red Springs man is being held without bond after being charged with murder in connection with a double homicide last week, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Daniel Hicks, 30, was arrested late Monday night at an abandoned residence in the 200 block of Ina Drive outside of Lumberton. He’s facing two counts of first-degree murder and felony conspiracy, deputies said.
Hicks is the second person arrested in the shooting deaths of 27-year-old Lisa Marie Locklear and 30-year-old Linnie B. Locklear, both of Shannon.
Jamont B. Smith, 35, of Red Springs, was charged last week.
Deputies on Feb. 5 responded to 508 Fodiesville Road in Shannon just after 4:30 p.m. and found Lisa Lockler dead at the scene. Linnie B. Lockler Jr. died a short time later at UNC Southeastern Medical Center.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Criminal division, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the FBI.
