FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Several Fayetteville firefighters spent hours battling a fire that broke out at the Rogers and Breece Crematory on Thursday night.
According to the Fayetteville Fire Department, crews responded at around 8:30 p.m. to a commercial structure fire at the business at 510 North Street.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they saw heavy fire rising from the roof of the crematory, Fayetteville fire officials said.
After combating the fire for nearly an hour, the fire is now under control, officials said.
“Rogers and Breece Crematory suffered heavy damage and fire department crews remain on scene ensuring no further hazard is present,” according to a social media post from the Fayetteville Fire Department.
