Pedestrian killed crossing Fayetteville road late Thursday

A pedestrian was killed Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle near Cliffdale and Bunce roads, police said Friday.

According to a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department, the pedestrian was struck about 9:50 p.m. while attempting to cross the road outside of a crosswalk.

The identities of the pedestrian and driver were not immediately released.
