The identity of a city worker killed in an ATV accident Thursday morning was released by police Friday afternoon.
Joseph Mial, 55, died after the all-terrain vehicle he was operating struck a fence around 6:30 a.m. at Fisher Road and Lakeway Drive, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. At the time of the accident, Mial was collecting trash, presumably for the city. The Police Department did not say what city department he worked for.
Mial was pronounced dead at the scene.
