A man was shot and killed in Cumberland County on Monday afternoon and authorities have developed a suspect.
It happened in a residential area in the 6300 block of Chinquapin Court in Fayetteville.
On Monday evening, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Nikki Dwayne Savage, 30, of Hope Mills.
The sheriff’s office said it was looking for Douglas Ray Chavis II, 25, of Hope Mills. Chavis is wanted for first-degree murder in this homicide investigation.
A woman was also shot. She was rushed to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment and was described as stable.
